Yorkville Sound Introduces The Synergy SA102 & SA115S - Smaller, Portable Addition To Synergy Array Series

January 2021

TORONTO, ON (November 30, 2020) - Canadian pro audio manufacturer, Yorkville Sound, is proud to announce two new additions to the Synergy Array Series: The SA102 active full range loudspeaker and SA115S active subwoofer. When paired together, these components make a smaller, lighter and more portable version of the Synergy Array Series, Yorkville's most powerful and versatile point-source system to date.

The Synergy Array Series first grabbed the attention of the Pro Audio world at the 2019 Winter NAMM Loudspeaker Showcase. Within the last two years, the Synergy series has been employed at events across North America. Incorporating Tom Danley's patented Paraline Lens and Synergy Horn technologies, the Synergy Array Series showed itself as a powerful and portable array and the ultimate point-source speaker system.

As the Synergy Array series ran its paces through outdoor festivals, arenas and clubs, Yorkville Sound's engineering team set out to develop a Synergy system for small spaces. Using the same Danley technologies and adding a tapped horn in the subwoofer, the SA102 and SA115S offer Synergy's scale-ability and array-ability in a more compact unit.

Jeff Cowling, Yorkville Sound's Vice President of Sales & Marketing explains the evolution of Synergy. "In 2019, we created the most versatile array system of its kind; scalable in both horizontal and vertical planes, and adaptable to suit any coverage pattern needed. We wowed club owners, retailers and sound technicians with its sheer output and bass. With the new SA102 and SA115S, we deliver our most accessible Synergy System with all the brand's signature features in a smaller footprint, that is easy to lift and transport in a mini-van."

Equipped with a 10" LF woofer, a large format HF Compression Driver with a 4" diaphragm, the SA102 delivers 1200 Watts (Program) and 2400 Watts (Peak) and provides a 7 Degrees Up, 38 Degrees Down coverage pattern. Like its predecessor, the cabinet can be turned 180 degrees from top to bottom to flip the coverage pattern.

With its compact size, the SA102 provides greater agility. "Three top boxes arrayed horizontally together would create a 90 Degree coverage pattern. This is wider coverage than our previous Synergy," says Cowling. "The user is in complete control of where the sound is projected."

The Danley patented 15" tapped horn allows for the SA1153 to deliver an astonishing 6400 Watts (Program) and 13000 Watts (Peak) in a compact cabinet. The SA102 can sit secure on the sub using interlocking feet or can be raised up by connecting a speaker pole to the SA115S built-in mounts.

"With the release of the Synergy Array Series in 2019, our vision was to bring one easy-to-use versatile system without compromising sonic performance," says Cowling. "In a very short time, we have developed our most accessible array system to date. The SA102 and SA115S is all you need to deliver no-compromise coverage in any sized venue. The flexibility and adaptability of the Synergy System allows you to sculpt your coverage pattern to where you need sound."
